Charles Scarlette

From a childhood marked by abandonment, abuse, and brokenness, I found my refuge and identity in music.

Left without the care of either parent at the age of nine, music became my safe place—a way to release pain and connect with something greater. I picked up a guitar at 15 and began singing in a bluegrass band, discovering early on that music could touch people in ways words alone could not. But it wasn’t until 1989, when I gave my life to Jesus, that everything truly changed.

From that moment, music became not just my passion but my ministry—a way to glorify God and bring healing to others.

Since then, I’ve devoted my life to using music as a tool to reach hearts and lift up the name of Jesus. Influenced by artists like Michael English, the Crabb Family, Bill Gaither, and others, I embraced southern gospel and began sharing songs that reflect redemption, restoration, and the power of God’s love. Whether I’m leading worship, singing in churches, or ministering through mission work, my prayer remains the same: that people wouldn’t just hear a voice—they’d experience the presence of God.

Music may have started as my escape, but today it’s my calling—to help others encounter the One who turned my broken story into a testimony of grace.
